Dr Mhairi Macfarlane
Dr Mhairi Macfarlane is from Aberdeenshire. She graduated from Aberdeen University in 2001. Having completed her training she spent 3 years working in ARI before spending a year as a trainee at Woodside Medical Group. Dr Macfarlane joined Holburn Medical Group as a partner in 2006. Her clinical interests include family planning and GP training. |
Dr Deborah Cunningham
Dr Deborah Cunningham is from Aberdeenshire. She graduated from Aberdeen University in 2005 with her medical degree and a BSc in medical science. Her hospital training was mainly in Aberdeen but she also spent some time working in Shetland. She completed her GP training at the Albyn Medical Practice and joined Holburn Medical Group in 2011. She became a partner in 2012. Her clinical interests include women's health and elderly medicine. Dr Cunningham is our practice diabetic lead. |
Dr Lorraine McGuigan
Originally from West Lothian Dr McGuigan graduated from the University of Aberdeen in 1997. She held a number of hospital posts before completing her training in General Practice in 2004. For a short time Dr McGuigan was a partner of Holburn Medical Group until family commitments led her to Edinburgh. She worked in the University there for 8 years before returning to Aberdeen in 2011. Dr Mcguigan has a special interest in palliative care and medical education training. |
Dr Leanne Duff
Dr Duff is from Aberdeen but studied medicine at the University of Dundee, graduating in 2012. During her hospital training she worked at Woodend Hospital, ARI and Dr Grays Hospital in Elgin. Dr Duff completed her GP training with the practice and enjoyed a short spell as a GP Assistant before becoming a partner in May 2019. Dr Duff’s interests lie in elderly medicine and psychiatry. |
Dr Vaila Boswell
Originally from Shetland Dr Boswell studied medicine at St Andrew's University and Aberdeen University. Dr Boswell completed her GP training with the practice, became our GP Assistant in August 2019 and accepted partnership in February 2020. Her medical interests lie in women's health and contraception. |
Dr Samantha Fenwick
Dr Fenwick graduated from Aberdeen University in 2009 and started her GP training in Manchester before returning to Aberdeen to complete her training in 2017. Dr Fenwick worked as a salaried GP in Peterhead Health Centre and Links Medical Practice before joining our practice as a salaried GP in July 2020. She accepted partnership in June 2021. Her special interests lie in family planning and medical politics. |
Dr Nicky Grant
Originally from Aberdeen, Dr Grant studied Medical Microbiology in Edinburgh and graduated in 2001 before heading back to Aberdeen to study Medicine. She graduated from Aberdeen University in 2006 and returned to Edinburgh to complete her GP training. Dr Grant has been working as a GP in Aberdeen since 2012 and joined our team as a Salaried GP in May 2020. Dr Grant's special interests are in geriatrics, paediatrics and medical education |
Dr Dawn Kelsey
Dr Kelsey graduated from Aberdeen University in 1996. She has worked as a GP in Aberdeen since 2001 and joined our team as a Salaried GP in February 2023. Dr Kelsey's clinical interests are women's health, mental health and diabetes |
Dr Anne Warnakulasuriya Dona
Originally from Sri Lanka, Anne graduated from Aberdeen University in 2013. Anne completed her GP training with the practice before accepting the post of Salaried GP in November 2023. Her clinical interests lie in developing her minor surgery and joint injection skills. |
Dr Kimberley Moak
Dr Moak joined our team as a salaried GP after completing her specialist training with the practice in May 2024. She is originally from the Scottish central belt and studied medicine in Aberdeen. Dr Moak is interested in palliative care and sexual health |
